HELLO 3rd Trimester!

We made it! So happy to have hit this milestone in my pregnancy!

We went to the high risk Dr. today and had some great news. Baby A is doing fantastic and the stubborn little booger has flipped and is now head down. Weighing in at 2lbs 15oz! Baby B is still head down and weighs in at 3lbs even. WOOHOO!!!!

Baby B/Twin 2

I'm still blessed and have NO stretch marks. .

Sleep is much better now that I'm seeing a chiropractor (who specializes in pregnancy).

The twins are moving a TON and kicking hard.

We still do not know the gender but we have names picked out:

Boy 1)Westin David
Boy 2) Xander John

Girl 1) Brooklynn Dawn
Girl 2) Parker Lizabeth

Not really any cravings...I just want fruit a lot.

My belly is huge and my appetite has decreased tremendously. Having to eat small meals throughout the day. Acid reflux has started as well. Boo.

Overall the 2nd trimester was great!

Love to All!

Things to NOT Say to a Woman Pregnant With Twins

I am blessed. Beyond blessed. I've had a wonderful pregnancy with no complications thus far. I often say "if people had a pregnancy like mine, they'd be pregnant all the time." No joke. But one thing I've not been able to avoid are the odd/weird comments that COMPLETE strangers make when they find out I'm pregnant with twins. I laugh at all this because you'd think I'd be use to it: [I have a Great Dane and I always get the weird comments: "he's a horse", "you need a saddle for that thing", " he's walking/weighs more than you."]

Here's a few twin comments/questions that I've heard and heard over and over again...

1). Are they natural?
Seriously? This is a VERY personal question that I'm just floored that people have the audacity to ask.  Do I go around asking if a woman's boobs are natural? Or someone's sexual position preference. It's just rude and inappropriate.

2). How much weight have you gained?
A lot you asshole. Now go away.

3). You're not gonna make it that far...
Seriously? Who wants to hear that? Pre-term labor is no joke and I want these babies to cook as long as possible. Yes, I realize that I'm huge, that pre-term labor is a chance, and that there's always a risk involved. But shut your pie hole buddy. This mamma is determined to reach her 36 week goal! BITE ME!

4). Wow, where are they gonna fit?
In my belly. It stretches obviously and my body will make room for them. Where else would they go?

5). Are you going to breastfeed?
Is it any of your business? WOW. I know a lot of mothers (singletons or multiples) get this question. I just think it's rude.

6). Do you think you'll have more/are you done?
Can I have these two first? Really? Like I have any idea how it is to even have one child, I'm gonna have two now...and you're asking if I want more.

7). Are you gonna try for a natural delivery or C-section?
Again, any of your business? Of course I want a natural delivery but if a C-Section is medical necessary I will do what is in the best interest of my babies and my health.

8). Oh, so and so had twins and she delivered/was on bed rest for a million weeks...blah blah blah and horror stories.
Eff off! Tell me a great twin success story or something you butthead!

9). You're still working out? Be careful!
Duh, I'm still working out. And I will until delivery (per my dr's orders in fact). And duh again about being careful. Jeeze what do you think I'll do...risk these precious little one's lives?

10). You're going to be miserable this summer.
I already am, thanks for the reminder of the Texas swamp ass heat. I'm pretty familiar with the season and it isn't ideal but I'll suck it up.
